The Story behind Res Indica IAS Academy
We have worked with students having different aptitudes and possessing different intellectual abilities. We have also been mentoring and training these students on their preparation journey.
Through this journey, we have realized that aspirants fail to succeed not because they do not possess adequate knowledge or awareness but because they stop short in applying those concepts for variety of reasons such as inability to see the big picture in the background and connecting the dots, having fractured mental disposition with one dimensional thought process and inadequate writing skills. These constraints are so nagging that reading more material or attending more lectures or getting general guidance from tutors or even getting specific inputs from mentors prove to be inadequate. Because all these interventions happen to be post-facto and success rate unsurprisingly remains to be low.
We are convinced that unless the whole learning methodology is changed and transformed, same things more kind of approach would not work. Here, we have introduced a novel methodology of Design Based Learning where ideas are taught and grasped through mind maps, images, graphs and charts along with activities such as group discussions and mentorship keeping students as active agents all the while. Thinking and Brain Storming are core activities in this methodology. It is to be noted that research suggests that Design Based Learning methodology is at least thrice more effective than lecture based pedagogical set ups.
That is why we created our innovative learning programmes and tested it with actual students. The experience and feedback confirmed our initial insights that Design Based learning is far more effective than one dimensional lecture based passive learning. We were confident that our methodology would be a game changer and responses that we have received so far from students propelled us to go further and offer nothing short of full-fledged courses.
That is how and why we built RES INDICA IAS ACADEMY.
